Biocide based on particular phenols.
BENISOL B 500 is a biocide with large action range against bacterias, mushrooms, algas and mildews. Its excellent activity derives from the combined action between a mixture of phenols, able to confer a high antibacterial and fungicide power. Skins are protected from micro-organism for a long period of time because they easily adsorb BENISOL B 500.
Quantity of use and application methods of BENISOL B 500 can vary from tannery to tannery and they are mainly influenced by the thickness and the content of natural fats into the skins and by the stocking time of the treated hides. The percentage of use varies from 0,1% in the bath of pickle to 0,4% for vegetable and chrome tanned skins.
The addition of the product has to be made such as to assure a uniform distribution in the bath.
