SAPOL LR is particularly effective as a wetting agent; it facilitates the absorption and dispersion of the water within the fibres, thus wetting back the section quickly and evenly during the beamhouse process and rewetting the crust leathers thoroughly.
SAPOL LR is an excellent stabilising agent for emulsions with standard fatliquoring blends; when it is used as an emulsifying agent, it enables the products to penetrate the skins thoroughly and distributes them evenly, eliminating the problem of fatty deposits on the surface.
SAPOL LR acts without drying the grain or altering the leather’s natural touch.
The recommended amount varies between 0.3 % – 0.5 % if used as wetting agent and from 0.4 % – 0.8 % if used as an emulsifying agent in fatliquoring blends.
