SOLETAN C 13 is a synthetic compound with de-acidifying and retanning action on chrome-tanned leathers. It improves the touch and the fullness of the leathers, as well as the firmness and the elasticity of the grain.
The particular composition of this product allows a filling retanning action with vegetable tannins, improving the levelness of dyeing with anionic dyes.
SOLETAN C 13 has masking action for chrome baths, allowing a higher stability of them and a better filling action on the skin.
In the post-treatment of the chrome-tanned skins, the product involves a weak de-acidifying action, decreasing advantageously the affinity of the complexes chrome-collagen toward the anionic dyes and the synthetic or vegetable retanning agents.
SOLETAN C 13 has a neutral reaction and it is compatible in any rate with synthetic and vegetable tans and with anionic dyes. It’s instead incompatible with cationic dyes.
